Laura is a sweet young girl, who was found (probably abandoned by her 'owners') with a large maggot wound (see 'before' picture). This picture is indeed distressing, but unfortunately a reflection of the fate that often befalls pets that are abandoned to fend for themselves. She was fortunately rescued by compassionate animal lovers and provided the treatment she required. She needed surgery for ovarian cysts and the Foundation helped finance this and is now helping with the finances to keep her in a safe and friendly shelter- the 'after' picture says it all.
